LIONS TO FIGHT FOR TWO FINALS AGAINST WESTERN PROVINCE IN HOLLYWOODBETS PRO SERIES

13 March, 2026

DURBAN: The DP World Lions Ladies will head to Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium this weekend with the chance to cap another impressive domestic campaign when they face WSB Western Province Women in the Hollywoodbets Pro Series finals. The two sides will contest the Hollywoodbets Pro20 final at 18h00 on Friday before meeting again in the Hollywoodbets Pro50 final at 10h00 on Sunday, bringing together two of the most consistent teams across both competitions this season. Lions captain Kgomotso Rapoo says that it’s an unprecedented weekend of action coming up for both them and Western Province. “It’s really exciting to be able to contest both finals this weekend,” Rapoo said. “It’s never happened in our women’s space before and it’s a huge honour to get this far. “We’ve worked really hard behind the scenes, and the girls are in a good space going into the weekend.” Not only is it a big weekend from a cricket perspective for the Lions ladies, but there will be a handful that will be experiencing a night game for the first time. “A few of the girls haven’t played under lights before so that is a really exciting experience to look forward to. We’ve prepped well under the lights in Johannesburg this week and we can’t wait to get going.” The Lions have enjoyed another strong campaign across the Pro Series, showing balance with both bat and ball as they pushed their way into both finals. Their performances in the 50-over competition were particularly impressive, where they remained among the leading sides on the standings through the season and produced a number of commanding victories along the way. One of their most notable performances came in Durban earlier in the competition when the Lions defeated the Hollywoodbets Dolphins by 102 runs, underlining the strength of their batting line-up and their ability to defend totals under pressure. The Johannesburg-based side have consistent as a team across both competitions with no stand-outs from a batting perspective. Jenna Evans has led the way with the bat scoring 241 runs in the Pro 50 while Sunette Viljoen-Louw has been their best batter in the Pro20 with two half centuries. Relebohile Mkhize has been the Lions’ best bowler in the Pro20 competition with ten wickets at an economy rate of just over four runs to the over. The Pro20 skipper, Raisibe Ntozakhe has also picked up ten wickets in the 20 over competition. Ntozakhe has been the best Lions bowler in the Pro50 with ten wickets in that competition as well while Mkhize is one behind her with nine wickets. The Lions’ bowling unit has consistently backed up the batting efforts, regularly restricting opponents and maintaining pressure through disciplined spells across both formats. Their ability to take wickets in the middle overs has been particularly important in tight matches throughout the campaign. That consistency has helped the Lions position themselves for another shot at silverware. Having lifted the inaugural Hollywoodbets Pro50 title last season, the Johannesburg outfit will be eager to add further trophies when the finals take place in Durban. Standing in their way will be a confident Western Province side, setting up what promises to be a tightly contested end to the domestic season. With both teams showing strong form throughout the campaign, the stage is set for a compelling Pro Series finals weekend at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead. Fans can follow the finals action live on SuperSport (Channel 199). Upcoming Hollywoodbets Pro Series Final Fixtures: Friday, 13 March 2026 | 18h00 – Hollywoodbets Pro20 Sunday, 15 March 2026 | 10h00 – Hollywoodbets Pro50 ENDS Issued by: Cricket South Africa – Corporate Communications ABOUT CRICKET SOUTH AFRICA Cricket South Africa (CSA), an affiliate of the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) and a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), is the national governing body for the sport of cricket in South Africa and administers all aspects of South African cricket, men, and women, both in the professional and amateur sphere.

CSA Announces Unmissable 2026/27 Home Season for The Proteas Men

23 February, 2026

JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa (CSA) has today revealed The Proteas Men’s international fixtures for the 2026/27 home season, with Test cricket and One-Day Internationals (ODIs) headlining a busy summer against Australia, Bangladesh and England. First up is a multi-format tour against Australia, beginning with a three-match ODI series from 24 – 30 September. Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium will host the series opener on 24 September before the teams head inland for the annual Pink Day fixture at the DP World Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on 27 September. The series concludes at JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom on 30 September. The reigning ICC World Test Champions (WTC) will then continue their WTC title defence in a three-match Test series against Australia from 09 – 31 October. Both teams return to Durban for the first Test from 09 – 13 October, with the series continuing along the coast at St George’s Park in Gqeberha from 18 – 22 October. A trip to Cape Town then follows, with the third and final Test of the series to be played at World Sports Betting Newlands Cricket Ground, starting on 27 October. The Proteas will then welcome Bangladesh for an all-format tour. The Test side will first take centre stage in a two-match series on the Highveld, with the first Test at the DP World Wanderers Stadium from 15 – 19 November, followed by the second Test at SuperSport Park in Centurion from 23 – 27 November. The white-ball leg of the tour begins four days later with a three-match ODI series from 01 – 07 December, giving fans in East London, Gqeberha and Cape Town the opportunity to see the Proteas in action. The T20 International (T20I) series will then be staged across Kimberley, Benoni and Centurion from 10 – 13 December. Kimberley Oval remains an ICC-accredited venue. The earlier relocation of the Proteas Women’s fixture allowed for necessary maintenance and repairs, which will be completed ahead of the return of the international men’s fixtures. The international summer then reaches its peak with a three-match Test series against England. The first Test gets underway on 17 December at DP World Wanderers Stadium, before the traditional Boxing Day Test at SuperSport Park and the iconic New Year’s Test at World Sports Betting Newlands Cricket Ground. The season concludes with a three-match ODI series against England, beginning at Boland Park in Paarl on 10 January, with Manguang Oval in Bloemfontein hosting the remaining two ODIs on 12 and 15 January to end an exciting summer of cricket in South Africa. The T20I series against England has been removed from this season’s calendar due to scheduling conflicts, and both parties are exploring opportunities to reschedule it at a later date. CSA Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming three strong cricketing nations in Australia, Bangladesh and England. These tours will undoubtedly draw fans from across the country to our stadiums. We anticipate a vibrant and competitive summer that celebrates the very best of international cricket in South Africa. “Next season carries significant importance for both our Test and ODI teams. We have made a promising start to the new World Test Championship cycle, including a hard-fought 1-1 series draw against Pakistan and an impressive 2-0 victory over India, and it is important that we continue to build on that momentum and strengthen our position on the WTC table. “On the white-ball front, our focus remains firmly on building towards hosting the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2027. Every ODI series from here forms part of our preparation for that global event, not only as proud hosts, but as a team determined to compete strongly on home soil.” ODI Series against Australia 1st ODI – Thursday, 24 September at 10:00South Africa vs Australia – Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium, Durban 2nd ODI – Sunday, 27 September at 10:00South Africa vs Australia – DP World Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg 3rd ODI – Wednesday, 30 September at 13:30South Africa vs Australia – JB Marks Oval, Potchefstroom Test Series against Australia 1st Test – Friday, 09 – Tuesday, 13 October at 09:30South Africa vs Australia – Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium, Durban 2nd Test – Sunday, 18 – Thursday, 22 October at 10:00South Africa vs Australia – Dafabet St George’s Park, Gqeberha 3rd Test – Tuesday, 27 – Saturday, 31 October at 10:00South Africa vs Australia – World Sports Betting Newlands Cricket Ground, Cape Town Test Series against Bangladesh 1st Test – Sunday, 15 – Thursday, 19 November at 10:00South Africa vs Bangladesh – DP World Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg 2nd Test – Monday, 23 – Friday, 27 November at 10:00South Africa vs Bangladesh – SuperSport Park, Centurion ODI Series against Bangladesh 1st ODI – Tuesday, 01 December at 13:30South Africa vs Bangladesh – Buffalo Park Cricket Stadium, East London 2nd ODI – Friday, 04 December at 13:30South Africa vs Bangladesh – Dafabet St George’s Park, Gqeberha 3rd ODI – Monday, 07 December at 13:30South Africa vs Bangladesh – World Sports Betting Newlands Cricket Ground, Cape Town T20I Series against Bangladesh 1st T20I – Thursday, 10 December at 18:00South Africa vs Bangladesh – Kimberley Oval, Kimberley 2nd T20I – Saturday, 12 December at 14:30South Africa vs Bangladesh – Willowmoore Park, Benoni 3rd T20I – Sunday, 13 December at 14:30South Africa vs Bangladesh – SuperSport Park, Centurion Test Series against England 1st Test – Thursday, 17 – 21 Monday, December at 10:00South Africa vs England – DP World Wanderers Cricket Stadium, Johannesburg 2nd Test – Saturday, 26 – Wednesday, 30 December at 10:00South Africa vs England- SuperSport Park, Centurion 3rd Test – Sunday, 03 – Thursday, 07 January at 10:30South Africa vs England – World Sports Betting Newlands Cricket Ground, Cape Town ODI Series against England 1st ODI – Sunday, 10 January at 10:00South Africa vs England – Boland Park, Paarl 2nd ODI – Wednesday, 13 January at 13:30South Africa vs England – Manguang Oval, Bloemfontein 3rd ODI – Friday, 15 January at 10:00South Africa vs England – Manguang Oval, Bloemfontein
